San Jose Jazz Celebrates International Jazz Day

San Jose Jazz (SJZ) and SJSU present an entire afternoon of free community music celebrating International Jazz Day. Stop by the Hammer Theater Center from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 30 to catch some serious music. The festivities include a screening of the documentary “1959, The Year That Changed Jazz,” followed by drummer Will Calhoun’s Tribute to Elvin Jones and the San Jose State University Jazz Orchestra with vocalist Tiffany Austin.
