Vocalist and lyricist Steely Nash and guitarist Mark Arroyo are onto something special. After a series of gigs in the Spring of 2018, the two decided to work more closely together, stripping down old tunes and writing new gems. With the help of drummer Kristian Buenconsejo and bassist Fredrick Paclibon, this new line-up is hitting all the right notes. A true collaborative effort between a trio known for blurring lines, and a singer who interprets soul for modern times, Steely Nash has finally arrived.
Myra Gleason, Stereo RV’s lead singer, has one of the most powerfully expressive voices you’ve ever heard. Her fervent vocals are backed by the guitar and extraordinary beat boxing abilities of her husband, Gabe. The duo has been thrilling audiences in their hometown of Portland since they began performing together six years ago. Myra’s singing and Gabe’s ability to mimic the sound of a full drum kit, make every live performance an other-worldly event.
Stereo RV’s sound is seductively plush with rich vocals that captivate through a slightly languid and poetic framework, authentically channeling art mined from the depths of blunt honesty and emotion.
Sam Taylor, under the moniker of AEZY, has emerged from San Jose’s music scene as one of the youngest and most promising artists. Her beginnings as a musician took place at the School of Rock in San Jose, exposing her to a multitude of instruments. At just 16 she has enough talent to create her own one-girl band. Music has always been in her roots, coming from a family that introduced her to alternative rock and early beginnings of what we call indie music today, The time she has spent honing her artistry puts her in a league of artists twice her age. Her voice, guided by the delicate instrumentation of a piano have the ability to haunt you, and draw you in even after a single listen.
